SRINAGAR, July 13: Authorities on Monday imposed restrictions in several parts of Srinagar as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order amid the July 13 observance.
According to reports, restrictions have been enforced in areas falling under five police stations — Nowhatta, M.R. Gunj, Khanyar, Rainawari and Safa Kadal.
Security has also been significantly tightened around Naqshband Sahib and the Martyrs’ Graveyard, with barricades erected and security personnel deployed at key locations.
The measures have been put in place to regulate public movement and prevent large gatherings in sensitive areas. Security forces are maintaining a close vigil across the affected parts of the city.
Residents have been advised to cooperate with security personnel and avoid unnecessary movement in restricted areas.
